Group Stop Motion Animation - (Meigan Brown, Luby Chin, Haya Junaid, Giada Marson)
So here’s the little animation me and the girls I worked with created last month at CSM. Not much, just a quick 10 second simple animation but I was still really pleased with the result. Probably cause animation is so time consuming there’s a lovely gratification from seeing the final outcome!
Our brief: Pet peeves - what really annoys you?
Our answer: long queues for the toilet!! long queues are always terrible but this one tops them all. We figured being an all-girl group this seemed quite fitting, plus guys don’t generally have this problem since like my tutor “everywhere is a toilet for men” lol

Uni hasn’t really been so stressful in these first 4 weeks. That’s all about to change, got my first 4 week brief yesterday:
Think of a journey. Simple right? Should be once I have an idea on what I actually want to do!
To get us thinking we had a “Walk and Draw” day. Pretty self-explanatory walk a little. stop. draw a little. and repeat ‘til you end up at the British Museum then draw some Egyptian stuff.
Wasn’t really feeling it at the start of the day but I’m gonna put that down to the typical London weather. As the day progressed, some Starbucks and some cute bookshop rummaging got me feeling better. So did my drawing! Especially since I haven’t drawn properly in a long while. It’s like when you used to have a long summer, write nothing and then go back to school write something and realize how shit your handwriting is. I really want to get back into the habit of keeping a personal sketchbook.
Felt so inspired after it all so I’ve gone and spent 15 quid on pretty ink pens and now I’m off to draw some more.

Beowolf and Burberry
I’m pretty familiar with and all settled into CSM now. In the past few weeks I’ve covered advertising, digital media and this week gone, typography with a bunch of lovely peeps.
So I get given this font > 
and then told to make something that represents ze fonts personality?
cause loverboy told me it’s also the name of a movie and Beowulf’s a brave dude that likes fighting and such. So I thought fighting -> battle -> shield. and that mess on the shield? If you’re a little nerdy you’ll know what I mean in this bit; Basically if you print this font in CMYK color as it’s a font with a randomization feature (each letter is unique) each layer of color prints a different version of the same letter, so you get a lovely printed mess. So shield + CMYK + some jaggedy mess = voila! my final piece for typography last week.
studying graphics and all it would seem I would’ve created this on photoshop or something? So I don’t have to lug this thing around all day? Oh no, I do things the long way, plus that only occurred to me later lol.
I’m looking forward to seeing how much I improve over the next 3 years!
For now it’s back to watching the needlessly dragged on over 2 hours show called X Factor (I’ve also begun watching the US one which is SO much better - showcasing proper talent instead of nutcases) and forget about the bitch that outbid me in the last few seconds on a beeaaautiful, beige, burberry, bargain trench that had my name all over it.
*sigh*
